Seed Community Relief (SCORE) is a survivor-led, indigenous NGO incorporated in Uganda in 2021 by a Human Rights Defender and survivor of child labor. Registered with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau and the National Bureau for Non-Governmental Organizations, we operate nationwide. We work to eliminate modern slavery forced and child labour, human trafficking, child early and forced marriage (CEFM), sexual slavery, domestic servitude, economic exploitation, unethical recruitment and all forms of abuse.
To eliminate modern slavery by strengthening community resilience, transforming lives and fostering a society where freedom and opportunity prevail.
A world where every person lives free from exploitation, empowered to build a safe, just and thriving future.
Seed Community Relief was built from the lived experience of child labor. We have a firsthand perspective of what works to achieve sustainable impact.
"I was once trapped, but today I fight so others won't have to. Seed Community Relief is my promise that no one struggles alone."
— Kiima Stephen, Human Rights Defender & Survivor
Kiima Stephen grew up without his mother. At age 16, he was forced out of school and into work due to lack of school fees. After two years as a child laborer, he returned to school. Those years are the foundation of this work. He founded Seed Community Relief in 2021, giving this organization genuine trust from survivors.
